Boat : Refresh on the Water
Are you an avid boater or enjoy escaping to the water? Do you own a boat or jet ski? We’re here to ensure you have the right coverage when you leave dry land. Time on the water in Indiana is amazingly refreshing and relaxing, and from the 4th of July fireworks on Morse Lake to a sunset cruise near Wolfie’s, we want to make sure you feel at-ease while enjoying your sun-soaked days of summer — and this definitely includes making sure you’re properly insured.
Just like owning a car, owning a boat comes with lots of responsibility. You’re responsible for making sure your boat and the people in it are well-protected. Your family and friends trust you to have the right coverage in case there’s an accident or emergency. Operating a boat or other personal watercraft carries the risk of serious injury to other people. There’s also the risk of damage to other people’s property. And again, just like car ownership, the risk is yours as the boat owner.
What coverage do you think I need?
Coverage options vary between companies, and not all of them are the right fit for you. Because we’re an independent agency, we’re able to offer you a choice of companies to tailor a customized policy that will fit your needs.
What to look for in a good boatowner’s policy:
Total Loss Replacement – Replaces your boat or watercraft with a brand new one.
Agreed Value – Covers the cost of the boat at a pre-set value should there be a total loss.
Property Coverage – Replaces or repairs damage to your boat, boat motors, equipment, and trailers. We can set the deductible at a level that meets your needs.
Liability Coverage – Incomes in Hamilton County tend to be higher than the rest of the state. Set liability limits high enough to cover serious injuries and loss of others’ earnings due to injury from an accident.
Wreckage Removal Coverage – Covers the wreckage removal of a covered watercraft.
Fishing Equipment Replacement Cost – Pays up to $10,000 for your tackle, rods, and reels.
Personal Effects Replacement Cost – Covers lost items such as cameras, clothes, cell phones, etc.
Fuel Spill Liability – Protects you if there’s an unintentional fuel spill caused by you.
Emergency Towing (on the water) – Get’s your boat off the water, and can also cover labor costs.
Medical Payments – Covers minor injuries and co-pays for you and your passengers, regardless of fault.
Uninsured/Underinsured Watercraft Coverage – Pays for injuries to you and your passengers caused by a boater who has too little or no boat insurance.
Unfortunately, we’re not all
in the same boat when
it comes to insurance coverage.
