No one enjoys filing a claim – honestly, it’s the last thing you want to deal with. At the Dean Ballenger Agency, we want to take the hassle and stress out of your loss experience as much as possible. Obviously your stress will be different for a major accident or a house fire than it might be for a cracked windshield or minor hail damage, but we’re here to assist you in your time of loss, no matter how big or small the circumstance.
Our stewardship philosophy means we do the legwork to help get your car or home back to normal. We work with trusted partners who help us make the process easy. And we won’t file a claim for smaller amounts of damage unless we know there’s enough to exceed your deductible – this practice helps minimize the impact a claim has on your rates.
If your auto or home is damaged, or if you’ve been the victim of robbery or theft, call us as soon as you’ve spoken with the police [if police assistance was needed]. As soon as we hear from you, we’ll start making contacts so you can have your property evaluated in order to prevent additional damage or loss.
Is your car DRIVABLE? If it is, we’ll refer you to a trusted local repair shop to receive an estimate of damages. Afterward, we can decide together whether it makes sense to file a claim.
Is your car NOT drivable? If it’s not, we’ll work to have it towed to a trusted local repair shop. Chances are, we’ll need to help you get a claim started for a towing incident, so we’ll get the process started quickly.
When it’s time to get your car repaired, you’ll go to the repair shop where your rental car will be waiting for you so you can be on your way. Working with our trusted shops makes the process seamless, and in most cases you’ll get your car back sooner than if you’d gone somewhere else. And by the way — all the work from our trusted shops is guaranteed for as long as you own your car.

Remember, it’s extremely important to file your claim as promptly as possible. Prompt claim reporting helps our companies better manage and control costs associated with a claim.
